The market witnessed a gap-up opening of more than 100 points today. The Nifty remained volatile for the whole day. After opening, Nifty surged towards today’s high of 24526 and traded bidirectionally in the range of 130 points throughout the day, hence closing on the positive end by 0.47%. At the same time, Bank Nifty opened flat today and made swings in both directions, hence closing on a negative note by 195 points i.e., -0.36%.
