It later bounced back from the crucial support zone around 25,000, but the recovery was short-lived as bearish sentiment resurfaced, pulling it down to close around 24,970 by week's end. Bank Nifty also posted a negative close, down 0.83% or roughly 470 points. In contrast, broader market indices showed resilience — the Nifty Smallcap 100 rose by 1%, and the Nifty Midcap Select gained 1.11% over the week.
